Terms of Service for the Liberty Village Residents Association

Welcome to Liberty Village Residents Association ("the Association"). By accessing or using our services, website, or participating in our activities, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
1. Purpose of the Association
The purpose of the Association is to:
Represent the collective interests of community residents.
Facilitate communication among residents and promote community engagement.
Organize and manage community events, initiatives, and services.
Maintain and enhance the community's facilities, environment, and quality of life.
2. Membership and Participation
Eligibility: Membership is open to individuals who are residents or property owners within the community.
Membership Rights and Obligations: Members are entitled to participate in meetings, vote on issues, and access services provided by the Association, as outlined in the bylaws.
Code of Conduct: Members must adhere to the Association’s rules, respect other residents, and contribute to a safe and inclusive environment.
3. Use of Services
Access: The Association provides services, events, and online resources exclusively for the benefit of its members.
Prohibited Activities: Members must not use Association services to:
Harass, defame, or harm others.
Post or share inappropriate, illegal, or harmful content.
Violate any local laws or Association policies.
Termination of Access: The Association reserves the right to suspend or revoke a member's access to services for violating these Terms or the Code of Conduct.
4. Fees and Payments
Membership Dues: Members are required to pay dues as determined by the Association’s bylaws.
Event Fees: Additional fees may apply for certain events, services, or initiatives.
Refunds: Refunds for dues or fees are subject to the Association’s refund policy.
5. Privacy
The Association is committed to protecting members' personal information. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your data.
6. Community Rules and Regulations
Property Maintenance: Members must comply with community rules regarding property maintenance and appearance.
Facility Use: Community facilities must be used responsibly and in accordance with posted guidelines.
Dispute Resolution: Members are encouraged to resolve disputes amicably. The Association may mediate conflicts at its discretion.
7. Liability
Disclaimer: The Association provides its services on an "as-is" basis and makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy, availability, or suitability of its services.
Limitation of Liability: The Association is not liable for any damages or losses arising from the use of its services or participation in its activities, except as required by law.
8. Amendments to Terms
The Association reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Changes will be communicated via email, posted on our website, or announced at community meetings. Continued use of services after changes indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and any disputes will be resolved in accordance with these laws.
